Irresistible Oreo Cookie Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

Directions:

  1. Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Alternatively, place cookies in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl, mix crushed cookies with softened cream cheese until well combined.
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with vegetable shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
  5. Dip each chilled cookie ball into the melted chocolate mixture, coating evenly. Place back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
