Irresistible Oreo Cookie Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreo cookies
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
Directions:
- Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Alternatively, place cookies in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, mix crushed cookies with softened cream cheese until well combined.
- Shape mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 15 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with vegetable shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
- Dip each chilled cookie ball into the melted chocolate mixture, coating evenly. Place back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
