Irresistible Lava Cake Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease four ramekins or custard cups.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until pale and thick, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Fold in the chocolate mixture until combined. Fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins. Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until edges are set but centers are still soft.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for 1 minute. Run a knife around the edges of the ramekins to loosen the cakes. Invert onto serving plates and serve immediately.
